How To Wash Your Beauty Blender Properly

My beauty blender used to be of the makeup tools which gave me a lot of headaches because of how difficult it is to clean. They are just porous and absorb water, product, and can grow bacteria inside. I ended up buying the tool on every occasion and as small as the money looked it, it caused a lot of harm.

Beauty blenders have a unique ability to absorb water, which expands their shape. When the sponge is at its fullest absorption, it soaks up far less product, allowing the foundation to be applied to the skin and not soaked into the beauty blender. This also means it’s easier to clean than the average sponge.

First, it’s important to find the right cleanser.  You can use liquid brush cleansers, or the same cleanser you use on your face. Fully immerse the beauty blender in warm water under the tap. Next gently “swirl and lather” the beauty blender on the solid soaps and massage the soap in the beauty tool.

One lather, massage, and rinse usually isn’t enough, so you need to allow the soap to break apart product buildup within the tool. You’ll know you have a clean beauty blender when the suds you squeeze out are clear from foundation tones.

Finally, squeeze out as much water as possible. This will allow the beauty blender to dry faster. Let the beauty blender fully air dry as well before placing them back into a closed container, or you may find your half damp, sealed sponges have decided to mold.

DISCOVER: Ways To Clean Your Makeup Brushes For Any Occasion

Do you face challenges in cleaning up your makeup brushes? When do you clean your brushes and how often do you clean your brushes?

The truth is, some people never clean their makeup brushes, but I suggest we change by cleaning makeup brushes at least once a month, ideally once a week. If you don’t have the time and luxury to do so what I suggest is that one should pick one night a week for me Sunday evenings are mine is Sundays, a good day to have my brushes cleaned before my week gets started.

Since I have given you the perfect time and need to clean your brushes I would not want to live you without a way to clean these make up brushes of yours. Alternatively, you can use warm water or a touch of bar or liquid soap to wash your brushes clean.
In washing your brushes you have to be really gentle about it especially with the tip of the brush. You need to gently massage the tips of the bristles in your palm and then rinse it, making sure the soap and makeup products are totally out When done, gently squeeze out any remaining moisture with a towel. It’s important to then shape the brushes to their desired shape so that when they’re dry, they’re in their original form for better performance.

While washing your brush, make sure you point your brushes downward when washing and never allow a wet brush to dry standing up, as the water will run back into the metal or plastic band that attaches the brushes to the handle and will end up loosen the glue that holds the brush and bristles together.  Always lay your makeup brushes down flat on a clean towel
