Coca Cola Shape: How To Dress To Fit Your Coca Cola Shape

The hourglass figure has been influenced by many different things, including the different roles women play at home, the workplaces and celebrities all over. Popular celebrities have become the yardstick for some ladies in achieving their 'perfect' looks.

There are four types of female body shapes described by the fashion industry which are the rectangular, inverted triangle, spoon or pear and lastly the hourglass shape. The hourglass shape is defined by a woman's body measurements- the circumference of the bust, waist, and hips.
The hourglass shape is the famous body shape, which typically involves chiseled shoulders, shapely curves, and a narrowed waist. Women with the hourglass figure have been shown to be more admired which indirectly makes other body figures feel pressured and inferior.

The truth lots of ladies nowadays desire to have the hourglass figure however forget the fact that having that figure does not necessarily make you healthy, attractive and or guarantee your perfect kind of man.
The interesting fact is that most especially ladies who own and desire to have this figure and desire to have this figure do not dress as they ought to.

For that body type, wearing fitted tops will highlight your tiny waist and embrace your curves. You won’t need to rely on clothing styles to balance your shoulder-to-hip ratio like the other body shapes do.
Wearing fitted skinny jeans and leggings is a set of clothing you’ll need in your closet to make you feel great about your hourglass figure.

Another thing, you should look out for is stiffer fabrics in your dresses, like crisp cotton or chiffon, that add structure around your hips.  You could get horizontal stripes on the top half that will widen your shoulders and bust and choose three-quarter sleeves to draw attention to your waist.

Getting wide-collared shirts or capped sleeves will widen your shoulders. You can as well get strapless or halter tops because they are a good option.
Looking for the perfect dress?

- You can look for A-line dresses and tulip-skirted dresses, making sure the bottom half is not tight to the body.

- All the details (bows, beads, frills) should be on the top of the dress: it draws all the attention to this area and creates volume and helps to accomplish a balanced proportion.

- Choose brighter colours and patterns only for your tops – stick with darker shades and monochromatic styles for your bottom half. However, you can do otherwise depending on the occasion.

- Pick up a dress that shows off your tiny waistline.

Serena William Presents Latest Collection

Serena Williams is the embodiment continues to break barriers for working mothers as she presented her first collection in September at New York Fashion Week followed by a second intimate presentation earlier this month.

Before her show, Williams sat with Vogue Editor-In-Cheif, Anna Wintour to briefly discuss her step into the fashion industry.
“I’m already turning around working on September,” Williams said after making a few rounds at her presentation. Fashion insiders like Elaine Welteroth, Andre Leon Talley, and Lindsay Wagner were amongst the few of the industry’s elite present.

“I was thinking of some of my favorite places to travel, which ultimately when I thought about it, was Africa.” – Serena Williams
NH: What was the creative direction behind this collection you presented?

Williams: It was a fashion passport. I was thinking of some of my favorite places to travel, which ultimately when I thought about it, was Africa. That’s where I got the giraffe print from. And then also the vegan leather, because I feel like a lot of things, are being killed and we’re not saving the earth. We can all just do one small thing and help out so that was also a lot of our inspiration.
NH: How was that producing your second fashion show?

Williams: I just wanted to do something different and September was more runway. And this was about the designer. A lot of people don’t understand designers and what we think about, but I wanted people to know where I came from. I’ve actually been designing for years and went to school for it. It’s not just something I upped and was like, “Oh, I want to design.” It’s like, “No, I actually studied it,” and so I think it’s really important.
NH: Why did you decide to present in a more intimate setting?

Williams: It was very few celebrities here, just some of my closest friends. I wanted to focus on the media because they have helped the brand out a lot and also I wanted them to feel special. This is about them, not necessarily the pizazz and all the lights and the cameras.

Nigerian Designer, Kenneth Makes Official Debut At Paris Fashion Week

Austrian- Nigerian designer Kenneth Ize made his official debut at Paris Fashion Week, after making waves with his label on the international circuit for the past few seasons.

He was an LVMH prize finalist this past September, having first caught the world’s attention at Lagos Fashion Week a few months prior.
Images of Naomi Campbell and Imaan Hammam striding down Ize’s runway in his signature handwoven checks, a traditional Nigerian fabric known as Asoke, caused something of a global social media frenzy.

Kenneth is best known for his men’s tailoring, though he kicked things off on a distinctly feminine note with a quilted striped miniskirt and matching funnel-neck zippered jacket.
He tends to work best in an androgynous zone, however, and his strongest moments were shaped by a workwear influence think carpenter pants spun from silk and fringed at the hem. Adwoa Aboah looked especially striking in one of his new quilted boilersuits.

Ize has been working with a small circle of Asoke weavers in Nigeria with the hopes of preserving the centuries-old craft from the brink of extinction.
For fall, he expanded on that commitment to local artisanship by collaborating with Austrian lace-makers in Vienna where he was born and raised.
The green and orange lace tunics and suiting were a nod to Ize’s mother, who, like many West African women, would source Viennese lace to make custom outfits for special occasions.

Remedy For Foot Ache: Here Is Something You Can Wear

As much as we all appreciate and love beautiful pair of heels, these heels just won't cut it when you need to run quickly out the door or when you're on your feet for a long time, especially during the outdoor-friendly days of summer.

The true unsung hero of the warm season's footwear is the flat sandal, and this year, it's all about strappy silhouette and offering a bit more structure than flip-flops and a bit more comfort than the slingback sandal, these strappy versions will look cute whether you choose a more subtle style or a full-on, caged-up silhouette.

There are flat strappy sandals in neutral tones, like black, white, tan and even silver, or if you’re feeling a bit bolder, you can reach for a pair with rainbow straps, in animal print or an ombrĂ© effect.
Strappy sandals can feel more comfortable than a court shoe. Having a strap around the ankle can provide more support, which helps the foot feel more secure. Secondly, having an additional strap in the middle section of the foot provides mid-foot support, which also adds more stability."
Five Benefits Of Wearing Strappy Sandals:

1. Your feet can breathe: When you wear sandals, your feet will be able to breathe and feel some fresh air as you walk around town.

2. Comfort: In the same vein as the point above, sandals provide comfort and support all day long. Your toes won’t be cramped up inside a stuffy pair of dress shoes.

3. Easy access: Women’s shoes can be a hassle to put on sometimes. When you’re in a rush, you probably don’t have time to take a seat and carefully put your shoes on one at a time. That’s not an issue when you wear sandals. Just step right in them, and then head out the door. Once you get back home for the day, simply slip your sandals right off, kick back and relax.

4. Sandals are built for the beach: Don’t be one of those people who walks around the beach in tennis shoes their shoes are full of sand when they leave the beach. Instead, wear your new sandals! You won’t have to worry about sand, and you’ll look stylish while you’re enjoying your vacation.

5. Look stylish all summer: Speaking of looking stylish, there’s no better way to do so than by wearing strappy sandals! A few decades ago, flip-flops or ugly sandals were basically your only options if you wanted to wear comfortable open-toed shoes. That’s not the case anymore.
Strappy sandals should be as fun and comfortable as the season itself, so treat yourself right by grabbing one of them.
