GMB 2019 Runner-Up Campaigns Against Teenage Pregnancy

The first runner-up of 2019 Ghana's Most Beautiful reality show, Anita Enam Bossoh, has launched Enam Foundation at the Stevens Hotel in HO on February 7, 2020, to campaign against teenage pregnancy.

Enam who was the Volta regional representative of the show revealed that after the seeing the tabulated increased results of teenage pregnancy cases she vowed to help reduce the rate at which it is rising to especially in the Volta region.

At the launch ceremony, guest speaker, Prof. John Gyapong, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Health & Allied Sciences (UHAS) mentioned that the aim of the foundation would be achieved disclosing the causes of this social canker.

Prof. Gyapong advised that the foundation should increase in their advocacy and awareness campaign using both modern and traditional means to reach out to vulnerable teenage girls.
The special guest of honour and chairman of the launch, Dr Archibald Yao Letsa and Madam Dzifa Gomashie showed their support for the task at hand.

Mrs Dzifa Gomashie announced an essay competition among students in the Volta Region as part of activities for the Enam Foundation. The winner of the competition was awarded an Ipad.

The foundation as part of its aims and objective, would use the education and awareness drive and collaborate with health directorates across the country (Ghana Health Service) and Ghana Education Service (GES) for more awareness campaign at school and community levels.

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Prosper Pi-Bandah, a representative from the office of ex-President Jerry John Rawlings, traditional rulers among others graced the event.
