With all the manipulating, gels, acrylics, press-on, and other cosmetic changes your nails undergo, they can get pretty wrecked.
We have different types of nails, my friend has very firm and long nails which do not need to be worked on much. Anytime she applies nail polish, I tend to look down on my nails because they are soft and short. I happen to go through a lot with my nails however the good news is that, I have found a solution to growing my nails healthy and firmer.
I'd be sharing three simple tips to keeping your nails healthy as we transition from cold weather to spring, go from style to style, and more.
1. Drink up- We know that drinking lots of water does us a lot of good than harm, or no harm at all because water, water lubricates our joints, it boosts our skin and beauty, regulates body temperature, maintains blood pressure e.t.c. Water basically does the magic of keeping our bodies well hydrated and healthy, but it helps to keep your nails healthy as well.
2. Use cuticle oil- Cuticles are the dead skin at the base of a fingernail or toenail. Using cuticle oil nourishes the cuticles and keeps the nail plate moisturized and supple, keeping those annoying splits and breaks at a minimum. You’ll find that your nails are less brittle and break less often with regular use. Don't cut or manipulate cuticles
3. Don’t use your nails as a tool- It is very tempting it is to use your nails to open canned drinks but you don’t want to do that. Always be careful of your nails, they are very sensitive and bruise very easily.
