Victoria Michaels, brand ambassador for Fashion Connect Africa which ended successfully at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel revealed that despite the success of the event did not receive the support they needed.Victoria who is also an international model made mention of how difficult it was for them to receive support for the event because lots of people around her gave up on her while others who promised to support, did not even show up at all.
She expressed how happy she is for her and her team to pull the World standard fashion event despite all the disappointment they experienced.
She shared a congratulatory message on her Instagram handle, appreciating everyone who supports them from the inception of the vision and their special guests who graced the event with their presence.
According to her, they only decided to speak up about the disappointments to inspire people with dreams not to give up on their dreams and rather dream bigger. Also advised that people should have a thick skin in order to be able to ignore any negative perceptions of people.
From the International model's message, she stated that through this bold step taken by them she believes she and her team will bring more improvement through partnership and collaborations.
She finally thanked her sponsors for their support and believe in them.
