The seventh edition of the annual fashion event, Accra Fashion Week Chilly Rain will be taking place from March 25 to 30, 2020.
The event this year will be hosting a number of international brands including Mish Mega, Akinko Lifestyle, Afre Anko, Tidal Cool(USA), Clavon Leonard(USA), Sluu by Sluvin and Oh Sixty6(South Africa) among others.
According to the organizers of the event, they believe making an African fashion resolution with the wider world of Ghana is essential and getting the public to embrace the fashion designers to the point of purchasing is an essential requirement in fashion shows.
The event which is organized and promoted by A-Kinko lifestyle will emerge itself this year with the official Fashion Ghana Honours & Awards 2020, where lots of creatives in the industry will be awarded and honoured for showing some excellence in their unique fields and strengthening the industry.
Last year, Ghanaian international star, Wiyaala, put up a good show at the event, as she walked down the runway in a lioness inspired outfit while singing her hit song, "Tinambanyi".
Accra Fashion Week is a platform for African designers that can be compared to fashion weeks across the major capitals which aim to fill the void which seems tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an opening fashion infrastructure.
